Snails can be found in a wide range of different places, like ditches, drains, gardens, etc.. The majority of snails live in water, most others are found on land, some can be found in the deepest depths of the sea. Most snails are herbivorous. Some land species are omnivores. This species also includes some marine species. Land snails are part of the smallest cross section of snails. Marine snails are actually more prevalent. The average life span of a snail is about 5-7 years. In the wild, snails eat a variety of different foods.
