St. Augustine Sod Pallets

Raleigh St. Augustine (Stenotaphrum secundatum) and Palmetto St. Augustine (Stenotaphrum secundatum) are excellent, popular choices in North Texas. Raleigh is generally considered the most widely used and popular, especially in residential lawns, due to its adaptability to cooler winters and disease resistance. However, Palmetto is considered superior for improved shade tolerance and cold hardiness. St. Augustine grass is slightly drought resistant, so monitoring how much rain the lawn gets is very important. Watering the lawn at least twice a week is good for this grass. The best time to water is early morning.

Bermuda Sod Pallets – Common: (Cynodon dactylon)

Bermuda grass grows well throughout Texas. It is very tolerant of drought and traffic and requires full sunlight. Bermuda grass is quite visually appealing with its dark, blue-green color. Bermuda grass requires approximately 1 – 1.25 inches of water per week to stay healthy during summer. If the ground is sandy, a half-inch of water needs to be applied once every third day to keep grass growing as it should.

Zoysia Sod Pallets: (Zoysia japonic)

Zoysia is a fine-bladed dark green grass with very good shade and drought tolerance. Zoysia also has one of the lowest water requirements of most turf grasses, requires minimal fertilization, and greens up earlier in the spring and stays green throughout the season. This variety easily handles foot traffic and is resistant to brown patch and most other pests.
