Garden Web Worms-
Are moths with odd markings of shades of gray. Wingspread is about 3/4 of an inch wide. The worms are very active at night attracted to street lights as well as a landscape lighting. Can be found in fields flying from place to place in short trips. Larvae are about 1″ long, yellow or light to dark green with a stripe down the back. 3 dots form a triangle on each segment of their bodies. Larvae feed mostly on the underside of the leaves loosening only the basic structure of each of the leaves. Also spin webs and can use the web to pull leaves to feed on. They are chewing insects.
