Carrot Weevils-
Tan-to-Gray adults are about 1/4″ long; larvae are white and grub like. They lay eggs on the leaves or in the crown of the plant. Several generations occur during one single season. It takes about 5 weeks to go from egg to adult. Carrot Weevils are a big pest in south Texas. These are chewing insects. The grubs chew on the outside or burrow into the carrots. The damage occurs close to the top of the carrot.
